Lou Snitkoff - reeds at sunrise in a lake
Canon EOS 6D, EF24-105mm f/4L IS USM, 105 mm, ISO 400, 1/60s, f/8

Why and how Lou created this image

Lou has always been drawn to details. He loves photographing sunrise on the coast at Good Harbor Beach in Gloucester, MA and wanted to share a bit of that alchemy with others.

He used fairly basic processing in Lightroom with adjustment of color profile and exposure, some cropping, and spot healing to eliminate distractions.

Lou reminds us that sunrise at the ocean can be overwhelmingly beautiful. Once you’ve taken in “the big picture,” look for “scenes within the scene” that may otherwise go unnoticed.
