Raw. I don’t trust myself to get it right in JPEG!! I need the security blanket of being able to fix things.
I’ve usually been shooting RAW & JPEG, but I bought two new cameras and recently switched to only shooting RAW.
I don’t use jpg for the same reason as I never had a polaroid camera! I like to do the thinking about how the photo is processed.
Mostly raw. Some times jpeg but not much.
After better understanding what Lightroom can do, I shoot RAW. For awhile I was shooting RAW + JPG. After a month or two I realized the JPGs were just taking up disk space.
Amateur question… but how do I know what I shoot? I mean I shoot in manual setting, but how do I know about raw or JPEG?
Look at your camera’s menu to see what recording format you are using.
