Putting together a major body of work means months to years of focus and dedication to a single topic, theme or subject. For UK-based Nigel Danson, it was making a book featuring the beauty of Luskentyre Beach on the west coast of South Harris. To put together the volume, he spent 30 days photographing the same beach. If you’ve ever wanted to do something similar, today’s landscape photography inspiration is certainly for you!

In a three-part video series beginning with theone above, Danson shared his thoughts, feelings and process on shooting Luskentyre Beach for an entire month. This singular focus allowed him to see the location in many different ways, so he could capture a variety of scenes in different weather conditions. His goal was to produce around 80 photos for the book to tell the story of the spirit of Luskentyre Beach.

So, if you’re curious about what such a project entails and what the planning or behind the scenes is like, you’ll surely learn a lot in his video series.
