Whether you’re new to Fujifilm cameras or have been using one for some time, one of the most popular lenses you’ll encounter (if you haven’t yet) is the Fujifilm XF 35mm f/1.4 R. One of the original X mount lenses, it has garnered quite a cult following, as many believe it lends a certain look or character to their photos. But if you’re just learning about this lens, UK photographer Roman Fox shows what it’s like shooting with everyone’s favorite Fujifilm lens in the video above.
While prowling the streets of Tokyo and capturing some classic Japanese street scenes, Fox also shared his thoughts on the famous Fujifilm lens. One thing he notes is the slower autofocus compared to “latest and greatest” lenses like the Fujifilm 33mm f/1.4 R LM WR. But for most street photography and anything where fast autofocus isn’t necessary, the 35mm still works great. Ultimately, however, the video gives us an idea about the compositions and shooting experience that photographers can get using this lens.
So, have you tried shooting with everyone’s favorite Fujifilm lens? If not, maybe it’s on your lens wishlist? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
