Is there any way to view macOS color flags when importing images? There are times I would like to cull images on my iPad. The easiest thing that I can figure out is to add a red flag to an image I don’t want to import. Unfortunately I don’t see those flags in the import dialog.
Not that I’m aware of, but tell me more about your workflow. What software are you using to cull your photos on the iPad? What hardware are you taking photos with? Are you using Capture Pilot for tethered capture?
Using Sony and Canon and just the Files app to browse and flag. No to tethered capture. I wish there were a Photo Mechanic like program for the iPad.
It doesn’t look like Capture One has this ability yet, but if you haven’t already, I’d suggest contacting Capture One support directly and see if they have any work arounds. Also this would let them know that a customer wants this feature.
I contacted Phase One support and this is what they said.
“Thank you for contacting us and sharing your question.
Capture One cannot read/show color tags created in macOS.
You aren’t the first to inquire, however, and I’ve added your case to the note for R&D to consider future implementation.
Please keep in mind, that due to our policy we do not comment or give out any information on future products and development”
