Another week, another photography challenge! Here’s one that you can tackle in the next few days. For the 35th week of their 52-week Photo Challenge, the folks of SlickPic want us to Tell a Lie using our camera and post-processing skills. If you’re ready, it’s time to refill your creative juices and put your photography skills to the test.
In this challenge, the task is to use visual effects and creative manipulation to bend reality or suspend belief. As such, they’re expecting to see some images that achieve this goal using clever composition, creative staging, or post-processing. Think surreal, fantasy-like worlds, otherworldly characters and scenes, and reimagined realities. They mentioned one limitation though: no politics, but focus on visual storytelling instead.
To help inspire you with some tips and ideas, we suggest checking out Alpine landscapes turned alien worlds through infrared photography, 53 Pics That Show Photography Is The Biggest Lie Ever and Digital Photography School’s How to Photograph a Lie. In case you’re just joining, we also encourage you to check out the full info on the 52-week Challenge.
