Two years since its release, the Fujifilm X100V remains a highly coveted mirrorless compact camera. Touted by many as the perfect street photography camera, its small and lightweight form makes it an unassuming and easy to carry around. Its redesigned lens system features a classic documentary field of view (35mm full frame equivalent), while its updated sensor allowed it to minimize noise and produce good detail. As a result, there has been a lot of hype surrounding this camera — but is it justified?

This is what Austria-based content creator Carlos Dominguez sought to answer in his video above, having noticed that the Fujifilm X100V is now selling well above its price tag in the secondhand market. He shares his insights on what caused its price to skyrocket — and continues to do so. The hype vs. the demand is definitely a major factor, especially with so many photographer-content creators continue to sing it praises.

So, what better way to try to justify all that hype than mentioning its key features and sharing some sample photos? Whether these snaps validate the immense attention this camera is getting, we’d let you be the judge!
