Radiant Photo is equipped with numerous Finishing Tools to help fine-tune your photographs. You will find these in the Detailed Edit screen on the bottom of the right panel. Any Finishing Tool adjustments will be applied to your image after other adjustments. Let’s take a look at the tools.

The first tool on the list in Color Temp. By adjusting yellow or blue cast, this feature helps correct photos taken in a high or low color temperature. Below this adjustment is Tint. Use this to add green or magenta to an image, compensating for a flawed white balance. These tools combine to help you adjust for any major color cast issues. The range of adjustment in these tools is large, so in most cases, you’ll only need subtle alterations.

Exposure adds more brightness/light to the image. Since Radiant Photo does an amazing job of auto correcting exposure, and has exposure tools within other panels, you may not need to perform exposure adjustments here very often.

The Contrast tool is best for adjusting midtones, making darker areas slightly darker and lighter areas slightly lighter when making adjustments in positive values. The Highlights tool affects the image’s brightest areas. The tool is good at helping brighten these areas without a large amount of clipping, and does a satisfactory job of attempting to recover blown-out areas when adjusting the value into the negatives. As you probably guessed, Shadows affects the image’s darkest areas. Lighten shadowy areas to recover some detail, or darken areas with minimal clipping.

The next tools are Whites and Blacks. Whites either reduces or increases clipping in highlights. Blacks adjusts the clipping point for shadows, and can help give you a more true black point.

Vibrance makes adjustments in certain areas of saturation. Specifically, lower-saturated colors undergo more change than higher-saturated colors. This helps reduce clipping. You’ll find greater impact on green or blue tones, and less effect on reds or skin tones. The Saturation adjustment alters colors equally, and you can completely minimize it to create a monochrome image.

While Radiant Photo’s AI is excellent at providing instant improvements, there are times you need to go into the Detailed Editing mode for fine-tuning. Make use of the Finishing Tools to further polish your photo to make it truly shine.
