If you’re like me, you drop it back in the bag, try to find a pocket, or shove it in a side pocket of your bag, only to struggle to find it later. The Lens Cap Keeper by taz + tez is a solution to this problem. It’s a neat, stylish pouch that keeps your lens cap close at hand. This makes switching lenses easy because you don’t have to go digging when you’re done shooting.

taz + tez Lens Cap Keeper – Ergonomics and build quality
Like everything in the taz + tez range, the Lens Cap Keeper is beautifully made. It is constructed from vegan leather, with fabric lining. It has a premium feel: You can rely on this one lasting the distance. To match your Archy backpack, Bobbi Modular Shoulder Camera Bag, or the black Tild.y Carryall Camera Backpack, it comes in both tan and black.
The Lens Cap Keeper is easy to use one-handed while holding your camera, especially when mounted on a strap or belt with the back Velcro loop to stabilize it. Similarly, getting the lens cap back out is easily done one-handed.
taz + tez Lens Cap Keeper – In the field
The Lens Cap Keeper straps onto your camera strap, bag strap, or clips onto any handy loop with the attached clip. Using it is easy: Flick open the magnetic clasp on the front to put the lens cap in. It fits snugly inside.
The way the loop on the back of the Lens Cap Keeper is oriented means that this is best suited to vertical straps. If you put it on your belt, the opening for the lens cap will be on the side, instead of the top. I don’t think there is a risk of the lens cap falling out, as it fits tight. There’s also the magnetic clasp closure over the top to keep it shut. However, something to be aware of when you’re deciding where to attach the Lens Cap Keeper.
For dual camera users, you will need two Lens Cap Keepers. Because of the snug fit, you can’t fit two lens caps in here at once.
