This morning I woke up and had to share this with you right away. If you love photography more than you love good food then you’re going to love this. There’s a FREE 3-part photography training series that starts today, May24th, 2016 and ends the day after Labor Day.
It’s not every day we get to learn something valuable and free without putting in a lot of time and effort. I’ve personally been to five different seminars and workshops this year already and for each one, I had to fly, stay in a hotel, and eat out for every meal.
The FREE 3-part photography training series is only available for a short time and then closes. To watch the series you have to sign up and then each video is sent to you on the release dates. What’s great about this training series is you can watch it from the comfort of your home while eating your favorite food and anytime day or night while the series is available. The training series contains three videos that are released over the course of eight days and covers photographic lighting, rookie mistakes, photography tools to help you take better pictures and workflow plugins and programs.
This training series reminds me of an interview I conducted years ago with Gregory Hines, the famous tap dancer. As I was interviewing Gregory he told me a story about an important lesson he learned about continuing to train. Gregory was shooting the movie White Knights, which featured he and Mikhail Baryshnikov as the two main stars. Gregory told me, “we shot long day and sometimes played hard at night, but regardless if we were out late or not, Mikhail would train every morning with a coach to work on his craft. Now Mikhail was one of the top dancers in the world, but he still made time to train every day. After that I started hiring a coach as well and it made a big difference.” Gregory isn’t with us anymore, but I will never forget his last words to me because he also loved photography. “even photographers need to train to get better!”
