Did you know you can use Lightrooms‘ Point Color in masks? In a recent Lightroom Classic update (V.13), Adobe added Point Color. This incredible new tool makes targeting precise adjustments to individual colors fast and easy. You can use it in an overall image or in a mask.
What exactly is Point Color?
Basically, Point Color allows you to select the exact color you want to edit, then select a range of adjacent colors. You can then adjust the hue, saturation, and luminance of the selection as needed.

This is a great tool, but what if you want to work with two similar colors and make them match? Alter one you alter both, right? In the above images, I wanted to match the cloth more closely with the flowers, so that’s where masks come in.
I put together this quick tutorial video on using the makes, etc. Apologies for the LR glitching while I record.
So next time you want to match or change a color, don’t forget about the Lightroom Pint Color tool, especially when using masks for a particular color or area in your photo.
