Viltrox may not be the brand you think of first when it comes to camera lenses, but they have been slowly growing a reputation for quality lenses at reasonable prices. Their latest offering, the 75mm Pro Series f/1.2 Auto Focus lens, is no exception when it comes to quality at a reasonable price tag.

This all-aluminum alloy body lens comes complete with weather sealing, optical construction consisting of 16 elements in 11 groups, HD nano coating, and a near noiseless STM steeping motor for focus. All at a very reasonable price tag of just $549. This makes it a perfect choice for both portrait photographers and videographers.

For the video enthusiast, there are several features that will make this an attractive choice. Built into the lens is a dedicated aperture ring for easy adjustment. Also incorporated is a “click” button that will allow the aperture ring to click to the nest setting in 1/3 stop increments, or to smoothly rotate through the aperture range for videographers looking to avoid shake as they change depth of field. The silent STM focus motor will also be appreciated by the video crowd as well.

In terms of photos, this lens is the bokeh king of the APS-C world for Nikon shooters, as well as most other brands. This lens pairs well with the Nikon Z fc, Z 30 and Z 50. Viltrox also makes this lens for the  Sony E mount as well as the Fujifilm mount.

Stepping all the way down to f/1.2, you can get dreamy soft bokeh on command making this a great choice for portrait work. The 75 mm focal length also makes it a great choice for portraits. Coupling this lens with a full-frame camera body, the focal length jumps up to 112.5mm for Nikon users, which is still a solid choice for portraits.
