I bid low on a Nikon f4 many years ago at an auction at the Canada/US border. It was seized due to non payment of duty. It was the body only so I guess no one wanted it without a lens. I paid the minimum, whatever that was.
I have been using Nikons ever since. My latest Nikon is a D500. I am now 95 so I won’t be getting into mirrorless.
