I pondered Levi’s article. I do tend to agree that people do push the line of offensive in public spaces, and I’m not referring to the tourist taking a photo that widely captures me, or others. I think directly targeting an individual should be done so with permission. I’m not interested in being somebody’s model, as I suspect neither are most women, and/or finding out I made them money. It has been a long while since I would consider myself sufficiently versed in our laws on this, but here is what I can recall of Canadian Law on Street Photography. You are able to photograph the public in public places providing you do not commercially gain from it in ways where individuals are clearly the reason for the saleability unless you have a release.
