Why I picked this image: While this is probably a normal scene on the streets of some places in the world, images like these always catch my attention. Technically Paul did a good job here by panning this shot with a longer exposure to blur everything except the person and the motorcycle. You can always use this technique if you have a good moving subject on a busy or distracting background. If this scene would have been frozen at 1/4000s it would not have had the strong impact to me.
Looking at the content of the image, capturing someone driving a motorcycle with a cardboard box on one’s head is a surreal scene for me but probably common to some people in the world. I enjoy to be reminded of that through photography every day. Thank you Paul for sharing this image with us.
