Wondering what else you can do with your photos? How about taking on a photobook or photo zine project? Whether you’re new to idea of telling a visual story in pages or have been shooting to print for a while, today’s featured video is a potent source of inspiration.

Ted Forbes of the Art of Photography regularly receives photobooks and zines which he showcases and reviews in the mail time segment of his vlog. The section is a good opportunity to pick up some ideas for a photography series, whether you intend to print them or not.

Among the selection of printed masterpieces he featured above is an interesting photobook titled “Invisibility” by Jeff Karp. According to the photographer, the volume “contains a series of photos showcasing all kinds of weather hidden in plain sight.” Mostly abstract with an eye-catching play on light and colors, the book explores a clever concept that Forbes found remarkable.

However, if you’re not yet ready to put together a photo book, the equally interesting zines featured in the video should encourage you to try making a small volume instead.

What do you think about putting together your own photobook or photo zine? Did the projects featured above give you some good ideas? Share your thoughts in the comments below, let’s start a discussion!
