Got some vintage lenses lying around? How about adapting them to your digital camera instead of letting them gather dust? It’s now a pretty common practice for those who want to experiment with the look. However, if this is the first time you’re learning about it, today’s featured video will give you some ideas on how to get started.

Faizal Westcott’s tips above are specific to adapting vintage lenses to Fujifilm mirrorless cameras like the X-E4. However, you can definitely do it with other camera brands and models. All you need is the right adapter that matches your vintage lens mount and you’re good to go. Also, it’s a no-brainer to give a go if you’ve already invested in some vintage glass for your film cameras!

Westcott also used his Fujifilm X-E4 and vintage lenses combo specifically for street photography. So, you may find his tips and insights especially interesting or valuable if you also shoot a lot of street snaps. These manual focus lenses provide a different shooting experience which may or may not help your street photography. Still, you’ll never know unless you try!
