Some of the newer features in Photoshop have not perhaps been greeted with as much enthusiasm as they deserve. They are mostly overridden by the WOW of Generative Fill and Adobe Firefly. But one that really ticks a lot of boxes for me is the Delete and Fill Selection option. It just works.

A bit like everything in Photoshop, there are dozens of different ways to achieve the same result. Some work better than others. In a recent editing session, I tried Content-Aware Fill, Fill (with Content-aware) and the new Delete and Fill Selection. While this may not be the perfect choice for every image edit, it ticked all the boxes on this one.

As you can see from the below Before and After, it actually did a pretty good job.
