The long-anticipated Undo/Redo functionality has been delivered with the 1.9 updates for Luminar Neo. With the Undo/Redo functionality, you can back out of an edit and reapply it easily, making it easier to experiment with different editing tools.

How to use the new function?

This much-requested and long-awaited function is probably familiar to many Control + Z (or Command + C on a Mac) and Control + Y for Redo (Command + Y on a Mac). The new feature allows users to undo or redo changes made to their images, giving them greater flexibility in the editing process. You can also click on the Luminar Logo, go to edit and select from there if keyboard shortcuts aren’t your thing.

Skylum also threw in some performance improvements with the RAW Develop and masking tools for this update, promising a more efficient editing experience.

The update also fixes the following bugs:

For MACOS:

  • From the Layers tab, click “My Images,” “See All” and then the “Get More Assets” button and be redirected to the Luminar Marketplace as expected.
  • Mark a Preset as Favorite without seeing the list of Presets scroll up and down.
  • Apply a Preset without disabling the SkyAI and Sky Enhancer AI tools.
  • Sync adjustments to a new image without seeing the original image in low resolution displayed while adjustments are syncing.
  • Filter the Catalog and see a previously superselected image without it disappearing.
  • Reopen the Before/After mode without resetting the position of the Before/After slider.
  • View the original image without delays after opening the Before/After mode.

For Windows:

  • See an already purchased Preset collection in the For this Photo window without the “Get” button.
  • While the Before/After splitter is active, click “Quick Preview” on an edited image without it blinking.
  • Re-login and see the previously purchased and X Membership Presets.
  • Scroll and change the preview size to small without affecting images in the Catalog view.

It’s nice to just have simple, uncomplicated keyboard shortcuts that are familiar. Thanks, Luminar Neo!

Lastly, don’t forget that the Luminar Adventure deal is still up until May 1, so now is a great time to make the switch to Luminar Neo!
