I’m now hosting a new segment on the Photofocus Podcast called the Photofocus Infocus Interview Series. This segment will publish on the 21st of each month. I’m always on the look out for great and inspiring Photographers to come on the show. I’d love some input and advice on who you think I should reach out to and invite them for an interview.
In the past, some of my favorites have been Renee Robyn, Vonwong, among many others. I have a few new and emerging photographers I’m excited to introduce this year. However, please comment below on photographers you either want to hear again on the show or some new ones I should be on the lookout for.
There are several photographers that inspire me. Franz Lanting (A National Geographic photographer), Art Wolfe, and Jack “Wow” Davis. Jack has a great method for doing Lightroom. Franz is wonderfully inspiring when he gives his talk about making a difference with your photography and Art seems of such a gentle spirit. He is able to go out, photograph people in places we would never think of going and get incredible pictures.
Great response!! Thanks for commenting. I’ll look into them for sure.
Thinking of bodies of work, I’m impressed with the likes of Joe McNally to Gregory Heisler. But, getting to my most important influences, there is only David Hobby and Scott Bourne, both talented teachers, great writers, and internet pioneers. David’s work goes to the nuts and bolts of understanding light, and Scott seems to put the art of photography and the rest of the world in harmonious perspective.
I just love Amanda Diaz`s work, and many other favorites as well, but her work seems to always inspire me to do better in my own photography!
Some of the photographers who inspire me – Karen Hutton, Jeff Cable, Gina Milicia, Tin Man Lee, Danilo Piccioni – The Italian Eye, Scott Bourne and Marco Larousse.
Bryan Peterson
Bryan is a good one. His book Understanding Exposure has been through a number of reprints and considered a standard by many.
Brooke Shaden, Miss Aniela,
actually there’s many but the one that inspire me the most is Benjamin Von Wong. Our style might differ but how he thinks out of the box and how he is as a person I do think he’s a great inspiration.
