With the anticipated announcement of the Fujifilm X100VI in a few days, Fujifilm fans and mirrorless camera users are excited to get their hands on the Fujifilm X100V successor. However, photographers like Mattias Burling are asking, should you really get one? Will it really be more fun to use than older models like the Fujifilm X100S?

Before you give in to the hype (the Fujifilm X100V itself was so hyped and inaccessible for most), Burling shares why the Fujifilm X100S is still a great mirrorless camera — and great value — to this day. Released in January 2013, it’s still considered as one of the best digital cameras for travel, street and candid photography.

If you’re on a budget or don’t mind an older model, this compact and pocketable camera is worth your consideration. It’s a simpler or more basic camera compared to its successors, but the Fujifilm X100S is still a capable and fun camera to use. Many street photographers still love it for the features and image quality that Fujifilm X cameras have become popular for.

Would you still pick up the Fujifilm X100S given all the reasons Burling mentioned in his video above? Share your thoughts in the comments below!
