In the fast-paced world of freelancing, one of the most crucial aspects of running a successful business is efficient and timely invoicing. However, many freelancers like photographers face significant challenges when it comes to invoicing clients. Traditional invoicing programs that are part of complex accounting packages can be cumbersome, time-consuming, and difficult to learn. These make invoicing a major obstacle for freelancers who are looking for a quick and easy way to invoice and manage their clients. Fortunately, a solution has emerged in the form of Onigiri, a user-friendly invoicing and project management platform designed to streamline the invoicing process and revolutionize the way freelancers interact with their clients.
Most accounting packages come with invoicing features intertwined with a myriad of other complex functionalities. These make it challenging for freelancers to quickly set up and navigate through the software to create and send invoices. This inefficiency can lead to delays in invoicing, resulting in delayed payments and cash flow issues for freelancers. Onigiri addresses this issue through a simple and intuitive invoicing system that allows freelancers to easily generate and send invoices with just a few clicks, enabling them to get paid faster than ever before.

Apart from simplifying the invoicing process, Onigiri also provides freelancers with a comprehensive project management tool that allows them to keep track of all their project work in one place. By integrating invoicing and project management functionalities into a single platform, Onigiri enables freelancers to streamline their workflow and stay organized throughout the entire project lifecycle. With features such as task tracking, time management, and file sharing, freelancers can efficiently manage their projects and deliver high-quality work to their clients on time and within budget.
Onigiri also offers a range of additional features that cater to the diverse needs of freelancers. These include the ability to create and share proposals with customizable templates, set up a client portal for seamless communication and collaboration, and manage customer relationships effectively by keeping track of client contacts, invoices, contracts, and tasks. This all-in-one platform simplifies client management for freelancers. With this, they can focus on their work without getting bogged down by administrative tasks.
Another standout feature of Onigiri is its affordability. Unlike traditional accounting packages that come with hefty price tags and complicated pricing structures, Onigiri offers a low flat fee that covers all the essential features freelancers need to manage their clients and projects effectively. This cost-effective pricing model makes Onigiri an attractive option for freelancers who are looking for a budget-friendly invoicing solution without compromising on quality and functionality.
Moreover, Onigiri offers a risk-free trial that requires no credit card information. As such, freelancers experience the benefits of the platform firsthand without any financial commitment. This commitment to customer satisfaction demonstrates Onigiri’s confidence in its product and its dedication to supporting freelancers in their quest for success.
In my opinion, Onigiri is a game-changer in the world of freelancing. It offers a simple, convenient, and affordable solution to the invoicing and client management challenges that freelancers face on a daily basis. By providing a user-friendly platform that streamlines invoicing, project management, proposal sharing, client communication, and customer relationship management, Onigiri empowers freelancers.

Onigiri seems to be too simplistic for the price. I’d rather pay a bit more and get something like zipbooks. You can keep track of expenses and labor and apply those to invoices. And, you can add as much accounting as you fell like.
I just use their income vs expense tracking for billing and reporting to my CPA at the end of the year.
