Alistair Cowin is a retired engineer living near Haddington in East Lothian, Scotland. Photography is his passion and he particularly enjoys creating abstract images from the world around him.

Why and how Alistair created this image

Alistair wanted to create a beauty portrait with a bit of an edge to it. He has mixed reality with the abstract to create an intriguingly different portrait.

He created the portrait and mildly cleaned it up with Photoshop. Then he added the multicolored surrounding background with a layer.
