Here’s a way to create a quick blur reveal for your text layer in Adobe After Effects. Start by going into your text options to click the “Animate” button and select “Blur” from the dropdown menu. By Animator 1, select the “Add” button and choose “Property,” then “Opacity.”

Then, set the blur to whatever you desire. Then, set Opacity to 0.

Next, go under “Range Selector” to set Offset keyframes. Make a keyframe for -100% at the beginning of your timeline, and then a keyframe for 100% when you want the reveal to end.

Finally, under “Advanced,” change the “Shape” setting to “Ramp Up.” Now, you can view your slick blur reveal. If you toggle “Randomize Order” to “On,” the blur reveal will happen to letters in a different order.
