We’re thinking of adding more coverage for smartphone camera apps and photo tools, but we want to know more about how you’re using your smartphone.
Please respond to the poll below. You can choose multiple responses as well as leave comments below. We want to gauge what and how much to cover.

I use mine for a variety of reasons – it can be the only camera I have on me sometimes, so it’s a backup. Or I quite often want the ability to share a photograph quickly i.e via facebook or twitter, so my iPhone gives me that opportunity. Or quite simply, it can take better photos at times depending on the circumstances!
The phone’s camera is the best solution to take a snap of my kids while the DSLR is in the other room. I use it like every other day for that.
At work, I use the app Office Lens two or three times a week to digitize what I’ve written on whiteboards.
And on family trips, I tend to use a 75-200 mm lens on my APS-C DSLR with the phone for wide angle shots instead of the 18-250 on the DSLR.
The camera in my phone is quite important to me – that’s why I got a Nokia 1020.
My first thought….”it’s not the equipment it is the person using it” I use all of my cameras, smart phone/P&S/DSLR, constantly. Each has their strength each has their weakness….it’s up to me to know when and where each should be used.
iPhoneography can do much more that what the public or the professional community is currently thinking. Postprocessing provides new markets – something every studio wants. Panorama work simply soars. Along with mirror less cameras the iPhone (and the other mtgs of course) are once again changing the total market and usage.
I use it all the time to take photographs of things I want to add to shopping lists, tell someone about, or remind myself of at a later dates. I also often use it to document what I’m doing on a project as part of my primary research. I never use it for ‘photography’.
