I love a fine art print, with a well fit matte and a custom frame. Unfortunately, my walls (and my wallet!) are not big enough to accommodate all the prints I would like to make. I could cycle my images up and down, and trade frames, but they don’t always look good in the ratios that the frame is. For instance, I may have a 16×24 frame that I can use to cycle different pictures through, but my next image may look better as a 1.5×2 crop instead of 2×3.
Well, this video will show you how to use Lightroom’s Print Module to create custom layouts to fit any picture into any frame without cropping.

I second Levi’s comment to Adobe about adding a ‘add to catalog’ option on the print to jpeg dialogue. ‘Stack with original’ too. I just did a week of triptychs straight from Lr and that was an awkward part of the workflow.
Hi Levi, loved this post, but just one question. I am using lr5 on windows. In the beginning when you click on page setup, you had the option for any printer and custom paper size. Is that an inherent trait of Mac? I do not have that option on mine, just shows whatever printers I have had installed, and pdf. Thanks!
Some UI elements for printing are OS specific… but the controls do exist in both Mac and Windows.
John,
I’m sorry, it’s been a while since I did it on a Windows machine, and I’m traveling so I can’t run to a friends house to try it. Can anyone else help me with the shortcut cuts for Windows?
