You may have heard the story of a San Francisco-based company that focuses on making amazing accessories for us photographers. In case you haven’t, I’m talking about Peak Design. Now, I’m going to come right out and say itI absolutely love everything that Peak Design makes. The attention to detail that they pour into their products, as well as their amazing customer support, makes recommending them an easy decision.
Recently, Peak Design teamed up with photographer, Trey Ratcliff, to design a messenger bag that offers features, functionality, and support specific for photographers on the move. The result is the Everyday Messenger bag. When the team first launched their crowdsourced fundraising on Kickstarter, they exceeded their $100,000 goal almost instantly and ended up raising about $5,000,000! So, you could say that people are very excited for this bag to start shipping.
Fortunately, the good folks at Peak Design sent me a bag to use and I thought it’d be fun to put together a video showcasing some of the cool features that this bag has to offer. In short, this bag is fantastic. It’s handsome, functional and actually fun to use! When was the last time you described your bag as fun? So, I hope this video gives you a better idea of the inner workings of this bag. Peak Design is currently taking preorders, which you can place right here.
Additionally, I work for Sony as the Alpha Team's Social & Content Strategist and am a member of Sony’s Artisans of Imagery program. I also contribute regularly to Photofocus, Lynda.com and a variety of other online and print publications.
Admittedly, I have [not-so] tiny obsessions with long-exposure photography, neutral density filters and fisheye lenses. Basically, my passion is helping others help themselves with their pursuits of photography.
