In case you haven’t heard, Adobe Lightroom CC 2015 is now available! As a Creative Cloud subscriber, you can upgrade to Lightroom CC 2015 right away using the Creative Cloud application manager. With this new release comes features like HDR processing, Panorama stitching, advanced video slideshows, facial recognition, and easy photo sharing.

How do I buy Lightroom CC?

As a Creative Cloud subscriber, you can download Lightroom CC 2015 today using the Creative Cloud application manager. Not only do you always get the most recent versions of Adobe products, but you also have access to Lightroom Mobile completely free with your CC subscription.

You might have to update the Creative Cloud Application Manager before Lightroom CC 2015 will appear.

If youre not a subscriber, its only $10 per month for the Creative Cloud Photographers Plan. That includes Photoshop, Lightroom and Lightroom Mobile bundled together at the low monthly price of just $10.

Still not happy with a subscription to Lightroom? Well, you can purchase a desktop copy of Lightroom 6 for $149. This is as a stand-alone program and you will not have access to Lightroom Mobile.

Whats the difference between Lightroom 6 and Lightroom CC?

Nothing, both are version 6 of the program. Adobe is branding Lightroom CC for Creative Cloud subscribers. With each release, Adobe will update the suffix of Lightroom CC to include a year or release number, like Lightroom CC 2015. This is so you know what version is installed on your computer. If youre not a subscriber, you can still purchase a regular license to Lightroom 6.

Is there a trial?

Yes, you can download a 30-day trial of Lightroom 6 from Adobes website. It’s a little hidden, so click here for the secret link. Even better, you’ll have access to Lightroom Mobile during that 30-day trial, so you can really test out if Lightroom is right for your workflow.
