This week’s Photowalk is happening in Sacramento, California, which happens to be the capitol of California. That means we get to practice nighttime pictures at the Capitol building, and I’m really excited. We’ll figure out how to get those terrific star bursts on lights, and maybe even try some HDR techniques to help manage the darkness and the city lights. I’m stoked, and I can’t wait to shoot with you.

We’re really pleased to team up with the PAC for this event–check out their groups around the world. This is a free event, and we’ve got several raffle prizes, including a license to Perfectly Clear, and a complimentary ticket to RC Concepcion’s Lightroom Seminar on Tuesday!

This is a hands-on shooting time: bring your camera and I’d recommend a tripod, too. I’ll be using Perfectly Clear with Lightroom and Photoshop to finish my pictures, later, and I encourage you to download the free trial and give it a shot and see how it can make a big impact on your work (they’re our sponsor, after all).

When:

Sunday 10/4 @8:00pm

Where:

West steps of the Capitol Building (front)

California State Capitol Building, 1315 10th Street, Sacramento, CA 95814

What to Bring:

Bring your camera with fresh batteries and memory cards. I’ll be using a tripod, and expect to focus on cityscape and architecture. Bring your speedlight or flash and I’ll help you make the most of it. Remember to bring a fun attitude, too :D
