Awesome gear Bill!, I love Nikon but perhaps you should consider getting a small and efficient mirrorless system, like Fuji X or Sony A7.
When I was in college in the early 70s, I thought exactly the opposite. now, I pretty much agree.

I use to roam the forest of western Pa., carrying a camera bag with 4 or 5 lenses, at least 2 camera bodies, a stack of filters,( back in the day an assortment of film types) etc.etc. Now that I’ve hit my late 60’s I’m looking at mirrorless cameras
