Definitely mirror-less and full frame. The ability to view your composition live as your sensor sees it appeals to me. I am a former Nikon D610 shooter so full frame makes sense as I believe its harder to go back to crop sensor cameras after shooting a while with full frame. My choices would be between Sony, Nikon or Canon.
If I could have what I’d like, it would be a full frame camera. Coming from many years as 35mm film photographer, the crop sensor is a little hard to adjust to. But for now, a simple crop sensor DSLR is working for me. I’d really like a Nikon D850. But I’d be open to trying out a mirrorless too :)
I’m currently shooting with the Canon 5D Mk4 and love it. A friend of mine has the Canon EOS R and I got a chance to play with it. Very well built and there are things I like, but to me it’s not there yet.
I need dual card slots, and I use back-button focussing and can’t quite set up the EOS-R to perform the same way I can on my 5D Mk4. Once those things are incorporated into a mirrorless body I’ll probably jump on it.
