Why I picked this image:

Street photography can also be practiced in public places indoors such as museums, airports or train stations and not only on the street outdoors. This image by Fabio Morbec was captured inside the Art Institute of Chicago. I really like the composition of this image with the curvy staircase connecting the bottom left to the top right of the frame. I also like how the exposure was selected to show enough detail in the shape of silhouette’s in the foreground and enough detail through the window to expose the surrounding architecture.

The little kid that is positioned on the staircase according to the rule of thirds gives this nice architecture image the street touch. Is the kid insecure and a bit scared of being alone on this big staircase or is he/she adventurous and ready to explore the unknown? The viewer can decide on the story.

Great job Fabio!
