Why I picked this image: This image is a great example of a classic street photo that we have seen since the early days fo street photography. The square frame is filled with action on the rule of thirds intersections in two layers (foreground and background person) with the two people moving in opposite directions of the frame. The backlight, shadow and silhouettes plus the perfect timing plus framing make this a pure work of art!
I have been doing street photography for more than 20 years. And we do rely on a certain percentage of luck to encounter situations like this. But with experience you can control you luck a bit by developing an instinct for anticipating a situation and then capturing it at the perfect moment.
