Photographer: Lorraine Grey LRPS “Another sunrise in this fantastic place”
The bold graphics and color palette of this image stopped me in my tracks. I love the use of shadow and light, the leading lines in the foreground, and the silhouettes of the camels and people in the background. I feel the shifting sands sinking beneath my feet and my mind wanders to tales of travelers in ancient caravans crossing vast, empty deserts. Lorraine shot this image with a Canon EOS 5D Mark lll, at F/16, 1/60 and ISO 800.

Thank you Susan for your kind words on my photograph. It is an image I took in the Morrocon Desert after sleeping on the floor of a tent.
Thanks so much for sharing, Lorraine! I was wondering about the story behind the photo. It sounds like a great trip/adventure.
An adventure it was. 4 hours on a camel with gear on my back. Toilet etc extremely basic plus sleeping on the floor of the tent. Early rise, of course, and 4 hours on a camel to get back to civilisation. But well worth it for my shot :)
