Why I picked this image:

Siegfried Hansen is known for his witty street photography that often incorporates scenes on more than one layer. He has an incredible eye to show us surprising points of view in everyday life.  Siegfried has also published a book on his street photography called: Hold the line

This image of a water puddle is one of these examples where probably hundreds of people walked past without paying attention. But his trained eye saw something that should be obvious to you once you look at the photo. The swirl in the water resembles a face with eyes, cheeks, nose and mouth. And if you look closer, the face actually looks sad and tears come running from one eye.

Just the face in itself is stunning as it is. But if you are familiar with the Norwegian Painter Edvard Munch, the photo may even remind you of his very famous painting “The scream“.
