Fellow Photocus author Rod Harlan suggested to “Mention Others To Get More Traffic” on social media in an article he wrote. That’s great advice. By simply tagging people in a photo or mentioning them in your Facebook post, you open the door for others to see what you wrote. But what if you’re the one being tagged by a friend and they post an extreme point of view different from your own? Your friends may think you posted it on your timeline and think you have the same views. Here’s how to fix this potential problem and take control of Facebook’s Timeline.

Step 1: Log into Facebook and click on the notification icon; it looks like the world and select settings.

Step 2: Select Timeline and Tag from the left side menu.

Step 3: Enable “Review tags people add to your own posts before the tags appear on Facebook” by clicking on Edit in the How can I manage tags people add and tagging suggestions section.

Now when a friend tags you in a post, you will receive a notification. You can either accept or decline it from appearing on your timeline.
