I’ve been fortunate to be around sports my entire life, but never had a good sports portrait of myself. While photography and technology have changed over the years, sports portraits seemed to have remained the same. It’s always a simple, boring background with an excuse that there is never enough time to be creative. So I made it my goal to change that. With the help from Lynda.com, I created a course on Shooting Awesome Sports Portraits.
The course teaches everything from what gear to use to interacting with the athlete, how to shoot it and how to post process it quickly and efficiently. In the excerpt below, I show how to create the popular Sports Grit look.

Currently he is teaching workshops, writing for Photofocus and creating tutorials for various plug-in companies and for the Vanelli and Friends series.
