Meet and Greet

We will start our London PhotoWalk outside Embankment Underground Station, WC2 on Embankment. Outside the station there are some steps up to the right hand side hang around near there and well all pick each other up before we head off as one big group on a short stroll towards the Palace of Westminster, the home of the UK Parliament since the 11th century.

Our Course

We will follow the course of the River Thames, passing under the Golden Jubilee and Hungerford Rail bridges, over the mouth of Northumberland Avenue. We will have plenty to photograph along the way.

  • Whitehall Gardens
  • Richmond Terrace
  • The Ministry of Defence building
  • The RAF Memorial

When we arrive under Big Ben, well change our path and head over Westminster Bridge towards Guys and St. Thomas Hospital to catch the view back toward Parliament when the sun drops below the busy city horizon and blue hour starts to set in. The multitude of views encompassing this icon of British heritage will ensure that each of our walkers will no doubt have their own perspective to unleash their creativity.
We leave the Bridge back in the same direction on the opposite side of the river and head toward another historical icon, St Pauls Cathedral. The route there takes in the sights, sounds and smells of Londons Southbank, awash with life. The culture here is rooted mainly in the world of theatre,

  • British Film Institute
  • Southbank Centre
  • Hayward gallery
  • ITV television studios
  • County Hall
  • The London Eye
  • Provocative OXO Tower
  • Blackfriars Station
  • Tate Modern Gallery
  • The infamous wibbly-wobbly bridge, the Millennium Bridge
  • St Pauls Cathedral

When youve got the shots, our walk winds down as we cross the river one last time to the final destination passing Knightrider Court and the home of the Salvation Army to Mansion House Underground Station, which connects us back to the real world weve escaped from together. We can finish the night on the rooftop of Madison restaurant.
