In Photoshop its often critical to make an accurate selection. This let’s you target the precise area of an image for manipulation (and is one of the main reasons to jump from Lightroom to Photoshop).

The best selection often comes by selecting the pixels that you want don’t want. Additionally you can reuse an existing selection to modify an outside area as well. In this tutorial from my new lynda.com class , I share a few of my favorite techniques.
