Last week I told you about the next version of Photoshop Lightroom that was in the works. One of the things that excites me most is support for new cameras. It’s always a drag when you’ve got a brand new camera and you can’t open up its raw file to make major edits. Sure, the manufacturer may provide fairly limited software, but I want to use Lightroom and Photoshop.
I found myself with just this problem as I’ve been shooting with my new Olympus OM-D E-M1. Fortunately, that problem has now gone away. Download the Lightroom 8.3 Release Candidate from Adobe Labs (you must be a current Lightroom customer). This adds support for several new cameras and lenses. You can also get Camera Raw 8.3 as a release candidate on Adobe Labs for Photoshop CS6 and Photoshop CC.
