At the bottom of just about every story on Photofocus, you’ll find a chance for you to communicate with our team. This is your way to let us know what you like and think (and often serves as a direct way to request future content we’ll develop). We appreciate your input, and wanted to let you know how to get involved in Photofocus.

If you scroll to the bottom of each post, you’ll find tabs and a sharing area for most articles. Click on a word to activate the tab.

Comments

We love getting comments on articles. We read every one of them. We just don’t publish every one. By taking the time to comment, you’re ensuring that the staff knows what’s on your mind and what you want to see covered.

Comments that further the discussion and raise good points are always published. We generally do not run comments that use unprofessional language or that attack another commenter or the author. We also avoid “me too,” “nice shot,” and “you suck” comments (this isn’t YouTube after all).

Like & Share

Don’t have much to say but still want to express an opinion? Use the Like & Share area. By rating each article with a star rating, clicking like, or sending it to your social media site, you really help us. The stars give us a quick pulse check on what sort of coverage you want to see. They also motivate our authors who put a lot of effort into stories and appreciate a gold star (it’s almost as good as mom putting it up on the fridge with a magnet after all).

Most importantly though… SHARE. Tell everyone photographer and videographer you know about a great story. You can share articles to your favorite social media sites. Not only does this make the world a more creative, better educated, and beautiful place (okay a little lofty, but those are our real goals), you help the site grow. This means more articles, more contests, and more writers.
