Next year will be full of “lasts” for me. I’ll be teaching and co-leading an Alaska Bald Eagle field workshop with my pal Robert O’Toole. The dates are Mar 20th Mar 24, 2013, and Mar 27th Mar 31st, 2013,
This will be my last field workshop before I retire next November. If you’re one of those people who’ve contacted me and said, “I’d sure like to go up to shoot eagles with you Scott,” then this is your last chance.
Robert and I will take you to all our secret places. Not only will we guarantee you eagles, we’ll guarantee you eagles that are close enough to shoot with a 70-200mm lens!
Throw in some of the most beautiful scenery in the world, Photoshop instruction, critiques, great food and friendship and it will be the trip of a lifetime.
The cost is $3800. Plus airfare to and from Homer, AK, hotel, and meals. (Airport transfers from Homer to the hotel are available free of charge. Breakfast at the hotel is available daily free of charge. If you want to explore Homer on your own you will need to rent a car. We’ll get you to and from the boat and the hotel free of charge in our tour vans.)
The price ($3800) is high because we have to negotiate access to Indian land in order to legally and safely make these images. We also have to rent boats, hire crew and cover our own expenses setting up and operating the trip. There are only a few spots left. Each tour is limited to 10 students with a five to one student to instructor ratio. We won’t be crowded. We’ll shoot from boats and on land. We guarantee portfolio-quality shots to anyone who knows how to properly operate their camera.
I’ve been to Alaska dozens of times. I may go back there on my own but this is the last time I will lead a group. So if you want to make some great eagle shots, shoot some amazing landscape photos or just hang out, sign up soon. The few seats we have left won’t last long. There is a $400 discount if you want to sign up for both tours (many people do.)
If you sign up do make sure you can come. If you buy a seat on the tour it is absolutely non-refundable. Whether it’s job loss, health problems, etc., we can’t refund your ticket. Trip insurance is advised.
Send me an email to email@example.com if you’re interested. I’ll send you more details and you can decide if the trip is right for you. I haven’t advertised this tour much because I knew it would come close to selling out with just our regulars. We do have five seats left. Two in the first tour and three in the second. Don’t wait too long to respond because they will be gone soon. Nobody can get you closer to wild eagles or knows more about how to photograph them than Robert and me. I hope to see you on my last field workshop.
