I have a problem. I mean a real problem. I have too many camera bags. It’s like an addiction. I am streamlining my bag collection. One bag I’ll hang on to was designed with input from my pal Joe Farace. The Adorama Joe Farace Reporter II Backpack holds a 16″ Notebook & a Digital Pro SLR with a 100-400mm Lens plus Accessories. At less than $50, it’s probably one of the best deals on the market. Pound-for-pound, nothing I’ve used tops it.
This bag isn’t fancy. It is a bit heavy at 4.2 pounds, (hence the low price) but it’s design fits the way I work perfectly. I can put my 17″ MacBookPro in this well-padded bag even though it says it’s only large enough for a 16″ laptop. I can use it for light shooting days when one body is enough.
The main interior compartment fits a pro body with a long lens. I like that I can work right out of the bag. There’s enough room to carry a short lens, flash, memory cards and other accessories too.
I love the accessibility of this bag. For the money it’s extremely well built. It ceases to function well when overloaded. As long as you realize this is the bag you grab when you’re traveling light, you’ll be fine.
If you don’t like the straps you can use the sturdy top-handle to carry the bag comfortably.
Highly recommended.
