But those big commercials gigs didn’t happen overnight.

His career started with a gift of a Kodak Starmite 127 camera. On a field trip to Idaho’s Historical Museum, he photographed his classmates and processed the film in his parent’s bathroom/darkroom. And here’s the best part. He turned around and sold this prints for ten cents a piece. At the ripe old age of 12, his career was born.

As an industry influencer, Kevin has been involved with digital photography since the mid 1990s. He was one of the original evangelists for the Foveon Studio Camera the first three chip digital studio camera.

“Light is my pigment and the camera is my canvas. My passion is recording light eloquentlymanipulating it at the time of photography then enhancing it for display on the print. Light and the subjects it illuminates are infinitely fascinating.

Kevin writes “The Digital Photographer’s Notebook” monthly column for Photoshop User magazine. He has authored four books on digital photography and teaches photographic and digital imaging workshops and classes across the United States, Canada and Europe. His studio and home are located in Atlanta, Georgia USA.
