I have been learning the lessons I share in this book for 40 years. It took me a long time, a bunch of mistakes and tons of failed starts and stops to get to the point where I finally feel like a successful photographer. My simple goal in gathering these essays is to give you a chance to learn from my mistakes; to encourage you; and to let you know it is possible to follow your dreams and find the success you are looking for. What this book won’t do for you is tell you which camera, lens or tripod to buy. It won’t teach you which shutter speed, ISO or aperture to use. What it will do is help you with the hard part of photography. It helps you work out the thoughtful side of the art form. I have been and am honored to have great friends and compatriots in photography support me in my photographic endeavors. I want to give some of that back to you.

Download the book on the iBookstore — it’s also available for Kindle. ______

  3. As a HIGH Priest of Memory Protection, I can say that there is a much deeper, and although the Essays are fun, informative, and can be flown threw and sill pick up a lot, underlying meaning. It may take 3-4 times for some, others 1 read, but Scott is a Strong a Mentor, Realist, Dreamer, Understanding of the World we live in, than anyone I have read, and or Know.

  4. I tried going to Amazon to get the book, but only the Kindle version is listed (and it’s listed for 99 cents)… would you believe I don’t have a Kindle?? I might just have to go buy one – just so I can get Scott’s book! Scott is one of my favorite writers/contributors to follow!

  5. I am pretty sure that this e-book – 72 Essays on Photography – will more than the worth of the 99 cents spent on buying it at the Apple store or at Amazon. I downloaded it for my iPad and it is really worth having. I didn’t even need a week (my usual read time coverage for a reading material of this size) to complete this e-book. I think I was immersed into a “new world” by this. By the way, my friend tried to have it on his iPhone. He says it doesn’t work. I have no clue as to why it works on my iPad and not on his iPhone – they are both Apple products.

The Kindle version has an app for iPad, iPhone, Android, Mac, PC, Blackberry, Windows, and Windows phone.

Thanks for the kind words… Scott wrote this to help others and we’re both glad it can help you.
