As photographers, we are always scoping out good camera straps and when you are around other photographers. It’s a topic that usually comes up especially if someone has a decent strap they are sporting. A good camera strap can make having your camera on your body a much more comfortable experience.

Camera straps have come a long way over the years. We have choices within styles, fabrics, comfort and even types of straps for the type of photography we are doing. Not only does this help protect our cameras but it can actually be beneficial for our physical health as we carry the weight of our cameras. Let’s face it, we can even make fashion statements.

I had the chance recently to use a MAKO HAUS fabric camera strap. There are 11 colors to choose from and my eye was immediately drawn to yellow.

Peer Reviews

I recently brought it with me to a photoshoot at my friend’s studio. The 1st thing they loved about the strap was the leather and the belt-like fastener. They were quite impressed (as I have been) with the construction and quality of the product.

My friend David had me pose with it and take a few pictures:

Bottom Line

In addition to this being an all around fantastic camera strap, the company gives back to the community with every strap sold. With every purchase, MAKO HAUS donates 10% to Fotolanthropy, a non-profit that gives portraits and short films to inspiring people who have faced adversity.

I would absolutely recommend this product without any hesitation and I look forward to continued use as part of my own gear.
