The process of HDR is a beautiful tool when used correctly. With that being said, we want to show you some amazing examples of photography talents doing great things with this technique for more doses of inspiration.

First up, meet French photographer, Girolamo Cracchiolo.
Girolamo’s photos are filled with beautiful color and intricate detail. I love the way he keeps the HDR process an effect that enhances rather than distracts from the incredible landscapes he captures. Since 2009, he has captured some of France and Italy’s most incredible locations and has processed them utilizing HDR techniques.
“As you can see I’m into landscape and HDR photos since 2009. I have a Canon EOS 50D with 3 lenses: a canon EF-S 10-22 mm a canon EF-S 18-135 mm and a Samyang 8mm fisheyes. My tripod is a a Vanguard Alta Pro 263AT with a GH-100 head. I also have 2 ND filters: Hoya ND 400 and B+W 110.”
“Almost of my photos were taken near to my home in France or in Italy. I like showing the extraordinary beauty of the nature in common places because I think beauty is everyhere. I like using HDR, Digital Blending and long exposures for my photos. I use Photomatix for creating my HDR and Photoshop for the post processing of my photo.”

amazing work!
Thank you Melissa and Photofocus.com for this article about me and my photographs :-)
Very nicely done Girolamo! The PP treatment is superb. Not overdone, but with just the right amount of color and detail.
Oh yessss….I’ve been following him for a few years. He is AMAZING!
The difficult thing about HDR is not to let it go “too far”. You do it so well, you are able to create the rich textures and colors without turning it into a grainy nightmare that I see a great deal. I try to do the same thing in my landscapes, but I’m not quite as adept as you. Working on my post-processing skills.

I wasn’t knowing about this photographer and I’m French as well!
I will have to look at his website in the future. I am using a plug-in for LR to do my PP. Does anyone know hdrinstant plugin? You can make HDR when there are moving subjects.
