One of my favorite photo quotes ever was from the wonderful Ruth Bernhard whom I had the privilege of hearing on three occasions.. When a student started to ask, “Where did you shoot…,” she stopped him mid-sentence and said, “Never say ‘shoot’ when talking about photography. Shooting is an act of violence, photography is an act of love!”
