While I prefer the iPhone 5, I use a Samsung Galaxy S3 every day. The camera is on par with the iPhone 5 camera. There are tons of apps for each phone. But I decided to do a post just on the Android apps because I use them more often right now.

I am not saying these are the five BEST Android apps for your camera phone. But they are MY favorites. Your mileage may vary.

1. GoPro App
I use my GoPro Hero cameras every week and I find the App makes the use of these cameras very valuable.

2. Snapseed
I love the easy way this app lets you transform and share your photos. There’s a reason it makes everyone’s top five.

3. Camera FV-5
If you want the kind of control over your camera phone that you have over your DSLR, you want this app.

4. Sundroid Pro Sunrise Sunset
If you’re a photographer who works outside a studio you need to keep track of the sweet light – sunrise and sunset times are easy to track using this app.

5. PicCollage
I love making collages and this app makes it easy. Use simple intuitive touch gestures to rotate, resize, edit and delete photos. Add text and photo effects to your collages, and share them via Facebook, Twitter, and email.
