Ten Ways to Use One Light Source Mini Review

February 6, 2011

You may be unfamiliar with Matthew Jordan Smith. He’s one of those photographers who I think should have a much larger profile than he currently has. He’s simply one of the best photographers I’ve ever met. His work is full of passion that I usually don’t see in the average portfolio. Beyond all that…he happens to be one of the nicest, warmest, friendliest guys in the business and he’s a tremendous teacher.

Matthew is primarily marketed as a fashion, commercial and beauty photographer, but the skills he uses and teaches are applicable to any type of portrait work.

Matthew has released a very inexpensive video called Ten Ways to Use One Light Source. At only $12.95 it’s a no-brainer. Just seeing how Matthew sets up his shots is worth the money. But he takes this a step further by giving you all the detailed information you need to create amazing commercial-quality images.

He shows lighting diagrams for each shot and the tools he uses are within reach of any photographer.

The video is short, but packed with good information. If you are interested in seeing how a real pro uses one light in the studio, this video should be added to your wish list.

Highly recommended.
